What is VCON?

Vcon is a science fiction and Fantasy convention that started in 1971 out at UBC. It was created by a bunch of students and run as a fan run event. The first Author Guest of Honour was Ursula K Leguin, who was attending her first convention as Guest of Honour! But what is it about?
